ITALON is part of the Italian ceramic holding company Gruppo Concorde S.p.A., Concorde. The factory began its operations in the mid-90s in the city of Stupino, located about a hundred kilometers from Moscow (the official inauguration took place in 2007).

Varieties of Italon porcelain stoneware

Technical - or unpolished, matte. This is the most high-quality, popular type of porcelain tile. Due to the fact that after drying, the surface of the tiles is not treated or the sintered layer is not cut, then it remains a fairly dense wear-resistant texture. Compared to other species, it has the most affordable price. The technical gres has a matte surface and a very wide range of color shades. The scope of application is the widest. Technical Italon porcelain tiles can be:

completely colored (that is, colored pigments are added to the entire mass in the manufacture of tiles),
partially painted (only the tile substrate is pigmented, which allows to reduce the cost of production).

Glazed - the substrate of the tile is covered with a layer of smalt glaze. The advantage of this material is its excellent aesthetic qualities. It has many options for artistic performance. Nevertheless, the decorative layer weakens technical capabilities, and its scope is not so wide. The most suitable for cladding with glazed porcelain stoneware are the walls and floor in residential premises.

Polished - the surface of the granite is polished with special abrasive particles to a mirror finish. The appearance of such a material after special processing becomes very beautiful and spectacular, but, unfortunately, because of this, its wear resistance decreases and moisture absorption increases. In order for such a gres to serve for a long time, it is necessary to carefully care for it, and cover its surface with protective mastics.

Polished porcelain stoneware after slipping becomes slippery, but, nevertheless, due to its excellent external qualities it can often be seen on floors in living rooms, halls, boutiques, beauty salons, etc.

Semi polished:

lappated - only some areas on the surface of the tiles are polished to a shine. Such gres has a beautiful appearance, it is not as slippery as it is fully polished. And due to the fact that only some places on the tile lend themselves to mechanical processing, its technical properties are higher and more reliable than polished ones.
structural - obtained by partial cutting of the upper layer of the surface of the tile, due to which it receives a relief texture. Such material has not only a beautiful and original appearance, but also an anti-slip effect.
satin - has a matte, but with a glare surface. Gloss is obtained through the use of mineral salt, which covers the surface of the tiles before firing. Mineral salt does not affect the quality of the material in any way.
